Not so much fitting to the prompt and I have no clue on the timing or setting on this one... gah, fail.

Haru's heart flutters whenever she sees the other girl, her blood flits hotly whenever her friend's hair wavering in the sunlight, her toes curl whenever Kyoko laughs, and she smiles with her, even if the world somewhere is ending.

They walk together like this, in the opposite direction of where ever home is, just getting lost in each other and the way there is always something to look forward to.

Today Haru isn't so much brave but wistful and young. An airplane draws clouds about her, vague shapes of children's dreams, and Kyoko is warm beside her such that she wants to sink in and be lost.

She let's her hand waver at her side for a second, but Haru is nothing if not true and even though here words are lost somewhere in the distance, her fingers clasp blindly at peach pale skin and she turns herself to face Kyoko.

Kyoko is smiling sweetly at her, a dust of blush staining her cheeks lightly and Haru feels the flutterings in her stomach increase until she feels like she's flying, above the clouds and all the things that seek to hold them down.

They walk like that, down the broken tarmac, hands laced such tightly and not letting go.
